Why have a business listing?

• Increase your SEO by having business listings linking to your website from reputable sources such as FVBN
• Build credibility locally by being a visible and active FVBN member.
• You can display this logo on your website (you can find it at the bottom of the homepage).

Please note that members and non-members alike must RSVP and pay the $5 meet-up fee for each meeting (with the exception of Platinum members who purchased their membership before December 15, 2012).

Additional Membership Details: 

Individual membership is for 1 person with 1 business--typically sole proprietors, etc. If you own more than one business, or you have someone else who might attend in your place or with you at some point, you will need to purchase a  corporate or sponsor membership. Memberships are not transferable.

As of December 15, 2012, FVBN memberships do not include the $5 meet-up fees. So, for budgeting purposes, if you attend every meet-up in one location (Abbotsford) then it would essentially come to apx. $120 per year ($60 plus $5 for one meet-up per month). Every meet-up you attend costs $5. The reason for this is because the meet-ups are expanding into other cities. For example, some people will attend all the Abbotsford and all the Chilliwack meet-ups, while others will only attend a few throughout the year. You just pay for the meet-ups you attend. 

The $60 membership fee is for self employed individuals / sole proprietors. The membership includes various perks and the directory listing, as outlined above. 

The only exception involves membership that were purchased before December 15th during the launch special. These are the founding FVBN members and their meet-up fees (for 1 meet-up per month) are included for a year. That was a limited time special that was offered to all the people who began attending during the launch period. That offer is no longer available. So if you see someone who does not pay the meet-up fee, that is why.

• Re: Platinum Memberships: Platinum memberships were only available at a special launch price before December 15, 2012. For Platinum members, one (1) meetup fee for one location per month is included, as available, for 1 year.
• If there's a month when FVBN is on an unexpected break or it's cancelled due to weather, or something unforeseen like that, that doesn't extend the membership.
